Nathan Fowler is an instructional designer who specializes in on-demand online learning. Since joining the UW School of Social Work in 2016, he has played an instrumental role in several statewide training initiatives to improve the foster care system. These include a required course for prospective caregivers and online programs that enhance parenting skills and support family reunification. Nathan’s expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theory, learning management systems and multimedia production have been applied to topics as diverse as mindfulness meditation, world history, English literature and grammar, career coaching and teen crisis intervention. At BHCore, he collaborates with a host of subject-matter experts to transform classroom learning into engaging online experiences for the first responder community.
